Directions to Meeting Location for West Rock Flora Field Trip
Driving directions begin from Route 15, which can be reached easily from Interstate 91 in Meriden (the highway splits near exit 17, other options exist as well). Driving southbound on Route 15, take exit 60 (in Hampden) for Route 10 (which is Dixwell Avenue). Follow Route 10 south for approximately 0.2 miles and make a right turn onto Bentham Avenue. Follow Bentham Avenue for approximately 2 miles to its end at the intersection with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and drive south approximately 0.9 miles to its end at the junction with Wintergreen Avenue. Turn Right and follow Wintergreen Avenue until you pass under the Route 15 overpass (also called Wilbur Cross Parkway). On the left will be a parking lot (and another can be found across the street). We will meet here at this parking lot (this lot is the main entrance for West Rock Ridge State Park). See map below for Route once you exit Route 15. Meeting time is 10:00 am.
